One of the longest pedestrian streets in Europe, the Rue Sainte Catherine is shopping heaven, lined with fashion retailers, boutiques, jewelers, department stores and malls. The 1.2 km route runs from Place de la Comédie in the north to the Place de la Victoire in the south, lined with luxury outlets such as Galeries Lafayette and Galerie Bordelaise, high street fashion shops like Zara, Calzedonia and Lacoste and affordable chains. The Croix de St Projet and Porte d'Aquitaine also lie on the Rue. There are numerous cafes and restaurants where you can take a break from shopping and refresh yourself.
