Place de la Bourse is an iconic square in Bordeaux and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by beautiful Neo-Classical buildings. Built in the 18th century to designs by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the square is framed by the Musée National des Douanes in the Hôtel des Fermes, Bordeaux Patrimoine Mondial, CCI International Aquitaine, and the Hôtel de la Bourse. In the centre is the fountain of the Three Graces designed by Louis Visconti, depicting Zeus' daughters Aglaia (Splendour), Euphrosyne (Mirth), and Thalia (Bloom). The Garonne River forms the remaining edge, along which is Le Miroir d'eau (Mirror of Water), the largest water-mirror in the world.
