The Grand Theatre is an 18thcentury Neo-Classical building that is home to the Opéra National de Bordeaux and Ballet National de Bordeaux. The façade has 12 Corinthian columns supporting an entablature on which stand 12 statues representing the Nine Muses – Euterpe, Uraine, Callipoe, Terischore, Melpomèn, Thalie, Polymnie, Erato, and Clio, and 3 Roman goddesses - Juno, Venus and Minerva. The interiors are done in blue, white and gold, the colors of French royalty.
