Housed in the 18th century villa of the Sartorio family, the Civico Museo Sartorio showcases a beautiful collection of ceramics, majolica, porcelain and paintings. Used by the Allies as their headquarters after World War II, the museum is best known for its collection of 254 works by Giambattista Tiepolo, among other Rococo and new Gothic paintings. The glyptotheque displays 250 artifacts from the Middle Ages to 19th century. The basement displays mosaics and other finds from the excavated ruins of a 1st century AD Roman villa.
