Boyana Waterfall, Sofia

The beautiful Boyana waterfall gets its name from the Boyana Reka, a tributary of the Vladayska River.

The beautiful Boyana waterfall gets its name from the Boyana Reka, a tributary of the Vladayska River. Located on the northern foothills of the Vitosha Mountain, it falls from a height of 20 metres. It looks exceptionally beautiful during winters and spring, when it falls in its full volume with melting ice. Choose between the 2 trekking trails – the steeper trail for advanced hikers takes an hour, while the gentler path takes 1.5-2 hours. Enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna of the forest through which the trails pass, and get rewarded by the gushing waterfall at the end.
