Housed in the former Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Nuuk Art Museum is built around the personal collections of Svend and Helene Junge Pedersen. The museum contains a remarkable collection of paintings, watercolors, drawings, graphics, and sculptures in soapstone, ivory, bone, and wood. It features national artists such as Harald Moltke, Christine Deichmann, Miki Jacobsen, Buuti Pedersen, Naja Rosing Asvid, and Anne-Birthe Hove. Of particular note is the repertoire of over 150 works depicting Greenland's scenery by Grønlandsmaler Emanuel A. Petersen.
