The Crawford Art Gallery is a paradise for art enthusiasts, welcoming more than 200,000 visitors each year. Located in the former Customs House that was built in 1724, it showcases over 4000 historical and contemporary artworks spread over 3 floors. Works on display include classical Greek and Roman statues by Antonio Canova from the Vatican, Jo Allen's 'At the Opening', Jack Yeats' ' Off the Donegal Coast', and John Behan's 'The Beast'. It is a great place to study local Irish art by painters from the region.
