Originally built in 1855, the Cork Opera House was rebuilt in 1965 and a new façade was added in the 1990s. It has a 1000 seat auditorium and hosts productions of concerts, comedy, drama, and dance, apart from opera. Watching a classic opera in a comfortable, modern building is an incredible experience. The space around the opera house is always filled with kids who are skating enthusiasts.
