Located in the Pacaembu Stadium below the bleachers, the Football Museum is dedicated to Brazil’s national pastime and obsession. Brazilian football legend Pele’s voice welcomes visitors at the entrance. Various rooms are dedicated to different aspects of the game – from its introduction in the late 19th century by Charles Miller to 1930 when it played its first World Cup match, goals scored by the Brazilian National Team in various finals, the social and cultural effect of the game on Brazilian society, radio narrations of matches, and memorabilia such as streamers, flags, and posters.
