The Fjellstua Viewpoint on Mount Aksla offers breathtaking views over Alesund, fjords and the archipelago all the way to the Sunnmøre Alps. A route with 418 steps from the Town Park leads to the top, from where the Kniven and Rundskue overlooks offer spectacular panoramic views. Fjellstua has a restaurant, cafeteria and a souvenir shop. You can even drive or take the train to this spot.

The Town Park lies on the west side of Mount Aksla, and is known for its statues of German Kaiser Wilhelm II who helped renovate the town after the fire of 1904, and the founder of Normandy Viking Gange-Rolf, also known as Rollo.
