The Atlanterhavsparken or Atlantic Sea Park on the Tueneset coast in Ålesund is one of the largest saltwater aquariums in Scandinavia. and one of the leading tourist attractions in the area. It has 11 large landscape aquariums, along with several smaller aquariums that showcase natural marine life along the Norwegian coast, from the inner fjords to the northern Atlantic Ocean. Highlights include the open Penguin Park, Selbukta with Harbour Seals, and Waterplaypark. There are daily feedings of fish such as cod and salmon in the Great Atlantic tank, and visitors can join in on weekends to feed the fish in the open pools. Crab fishing is popular in summers.
Hop-on hop-off buses from the Ålesund cruise port stop at Atlanterhavsparken. Tickets cost NOK 180 for adults, and NOK 80 for children between 3 to 15 years. Entry is free for kids below 2 years.
