Considered to be the oldest road in Cairo, the Fatimid era arterial street has been preserved as an open-air museum. It is lined with mosques, kuttabs, sabils, minarets, mausoleums, and traditional buildings that are a throwback to Cairo's past. Walk along the bustling street to see the highlights – Al Hakim Mosque, Bayt al-Suhaymi, Al-Aqmar Mosque, Sabil-Kuttab of Abdel Rahman Katkhuda, Al Azhar Mosque, and Qalawun complex.
