Laid out on the former riverbed of the Turia river after it was diverted to a new course to prevent floods, the Turia Gardens is one of the largest urban parks in Spain. Stretching for 9 kilometres, the park has 12 zones for different sporting activities, along with well-maintained gardens. There are walking and cycling tracks all along the park.
