The Cyprus Museum in Nicosia traces the history of Cyprus from prehistoric times to the early Christian period through chronologically presented archaeological exhibits. On display are Neolithic tools, Chalcolithic Age figurines, Bronze Age pottery, Roman era ceramics, clay statues from the Archaic sanctuary at Agia Irini, Hellenistic period sculptures, bronze agricultural tools and weapons, Ptolemaic era coins and seals, funerary monuments, writing tablets, and finds from the royal tombs of Salamis.
