The Archbishop Makarios III Cultural Foundation preserves and showcases the cultural heritage of Cyprus.

The Archbishop Makarios III Cultural Foundation preserves and showcases the cultural heritage of Cyprus. It has a Byzantine Museum, Art Gallery showcasing West European and Cypriot art, Library, the Office for Cyprus History, and Ceremony Hall. The Byzantine Museum presents Cypriot art from the 9th to 20th centuries, with over 300 icons, religious frescoes, and holy relics. Its highlight are fragments of the 6th century AD mosaics of Panagia Kanakaria at Lythrangomi and fragments of the frescoes dating to the 15th-16th century from the Antiphonites Church at Kalogrea.
