The Wharariki Beach lies at the northern end of South Island to the west of Cape Farewell.

The Wharariki Beach lies at the northern end of South Island to the west of Cape Farewell. The beach is bordered by Puponga Farm Park and the Kahurangi National Park, with gorgeous cliffs in the background. Across the water are the Archway Islands, a group of 4 rock stacks with the largest one measuring only about 300 by 200 metres.
