Blarney Castle, Cork

Steeped in history, Blarney Castle has been one of the greatest treasures of Ireland since its founding almost 800 years ago.

Steeped in history, Blarney Castle has been one of the greatest treasures of Ireland since its founding almost 800 years ago. The present day structure dates from the 15th century, built after the original stone fortification from 1210 was destroyed in 1440. It houses the Stone of Eloquence, which bestows the gift of the gab to anyone who kisses it. There are also elaborate and beautifully crafted gardens with rock formations surrounding the castle that you will surely love to explore.
