Paleopolis is an archaeological site in Kanoni 4 kms to the south of Corfu town, with the ruins of an ancient city that dates back to the 8th century BC. It has the remnants of a Doric Kardaki temple dedicated to Apollo, agora, Roman Odeon, Roman baths, Byzantine basilica of Saint Kerkyra, Archaic temple of Artemis-Gorgon, and a fortification tower from the Classical period.
