The fabulous City Botanical Gardens in Brisbane are home to some of the most exotic and rare species of plants found in Australia. The beautiful gardens, spread over 49 acres, are located on the banks of the Brisbane River next to the Parliament House. Opened to public in 1970, the relaxing environs of the landscaped greens with a fountain and cafe make it one of the best recreational places in the city. Tourists can visit the place at any time of the year and enjoy the wonderful plant species which are unique to Australia. Entry is free.
