The Domaine d'O or Château d'O is one of the several 18th century follies built by wealthy merchants in the French countryside around Montpellier. The complex is a cultural centre that hosts theatre performances, concerts, and other events. The 23 hectare park is laid out with Mediterranean gardens, pinewood, and olive groves with the Bassin d'O and other fountains. The south entrance leads to the elegant mansion designed by Charles Gabriel Le Blanc, surrounded by French formal gardens planned by Jean Antoine Giral. The north entrance leads to the newer buildings and Théâtre Jean-Claude Carrière.
