The Château de la Mogère is an 18th century mansion in Montpellier designed by the architect Jean Giral and furnished in historical style. Commissioned by the local Secrétaire d'État à la Maison du Roi - Fulcran Limouzin, the Renaissance style chateau is furnished with directoire and Louis VI chairs, 18th century bas-reliefs, family portraits, mural decoration of gypseries and paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries. The surrounding formal garden is influenced by the English garden style, and houses a large fountain with a buffet d'eau made out of thousands of seashells, surmounted by cherubs.
Admission is €7 for adults, and €3 for children under 18 years. Entry to garden only is €3.50.
