Once an imperial summer villa where the Emperor went for relaxation, the Onshi Hakone Park lies on the banks of Lake Ashi on the Togashima peninsula between Moto-Hakone and Hakone-machi. Destroyed by two major earthquakes in the early 20thcentury, the complex today has a Lakeside Panorama Hall which is an elegant white building with a tea room. Enjoy lush views of the lake and surroundings awash in the colors of the season, and explore the serene surroundings on mossy trails through wooded areas.
