Piazza Bra is the largest open square with several restaurants, cafes and historical buildings. Walk around to see the Piazza delle Erbe (Square of the Grass) in the heart of the city where the ancient Roman Forum resided to see the Scaligeri Tombs, and the Torre dei Lamberti, the 84 m high watchtower which offers great views from top. Go futher to see the Palazzo del commune (Palace of the Municipality), Santa Anastasia, Palazzo della prefettura (Palace of the Prefecture) of the Scaligeri, Castelvecchio, Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore, and the Duomo.

Walking tours also take you to the tiny blind alley that contains Juliet's Balcony and House (Casa di Giulietta), where you can see her statue and maybe pin a love letter to the wall.
