Judengasse leads to the former medieval Jewish Quarter, where the Jewish community was based till they were persecuted for the plague in 1349 and banished from Trier in 1418.

Judengasse leads to the former medieval Jewish Quarter, where the Jewish community was based till they were persecuted for the plague in 1349 and banished from Trier in 1418. Enclosed by Simeonstrasse, Jakobstrasse and Stockstrasse, the area retains some relics of its Jewish heritage. There are 4 houses dating back to 1235, and original Jewish cellars.
