Spread over 5.5 of landscaped lush greenery, the Parco Duca di Cesaro, better known as the Garden of Villa Communale, is a spot for relaxing after a day of sightseeing around Taormina. Commissioned by Scottish noble lady Florence Trevelyan after she settled here, the gardens are known for their elaborate Victorian follies with multiple crenellated levels in the midst of Mediterranean and tropical flora.

The central part near the main entrance is laid out on 2 levels as a symmetrical arboretum, with one of Florence Trevelyan's follies and various war memorials commemorating the martyrs of World War I. The southern part has a flower bed, and rows of olive trees dedicated to the memory of those who died in the Great War. The northern part has a central plaza, and 2 levels linked by a ramp. The lower level has a pinewood and garden of fragrances, while the upper level has avenues linking to the central entrance.
