Sprawling over 73 hectares of bushland and parkland, Lake Parramatta Reserve is a man-made reservoir and recreational area around the decommissioned dam across Hunts Creek. The masonry arch-walled dam supplied water for domestic purposes from 1856 until 1909, and converted into a recreational park thereafter. The lake is open for swimming and canoeing. The area around it has picnic spots and 3 bushwalking trails.
