The Laugavegur is a 55 kilometre long scenic trekking and ultramarathon route that runs from the hot springs and rhyolite mountains of Landmannalaugar to the fertile glacial valley of Þórsmörk. The path offers astounding views of stark Icelandic landscapes with unique flora and fauna. The journey takes 2-4 days, and mountain huts are available at Álftavatn , Emstrur, Hvanngil and Hrafntinnuske for stopping at night.
