Situated atop Öskjuhlíð hill overlooking Reykjavik, Perlan is a landmark building fashioned out of geothermal water storage tanks. Designed by designed by Ingimundur Sveinsson, it is topped by a large glass dome and has a viewing platform that offers panoramic views over the city. It has a rotating restaurant that offers a fine dining experience along with gorgeous views. It is surrounded by landscaped greenery.
