The St Rochus Cemetery was created outside the city walls of Nuremberg to bury the victims of the plague epidemic of 1517-'18. It has a small chapel by Hans Beheim, standard sandstone graves of commoners, and exquisite bronze graves of patrician families and wealthy citizens. Famous people buried here include sculptor Peter Fischer the Elder and composer Johann Pachelbel.
