The BFI Southbank, formerly known as the National Film Theatre, has four screens showing classic, foreign language and arthouse cinema. It also has a shop dedicated to film, a Mediatheque, an interactive exhibition space and an excellent bar/ restaurant at the back. It is one of the major venues of the London Film Festival held in October.
