The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Olmo lies at a height of 280 metres above sea level on the slopes of Mount Santa Croce overlooking Fabiano. It was built in 1839-'44 to house the 17th century slate image of Our Lady of Olmo, which was originally known as the Madonna del Monte. It was damaged in World War II bombings, and had to be reconstructed after that. On the eve of the Feast of Madonna dell'Olmo, a large wooden ensemble of the all the characters on the slate is carried in procession to the shrine.
