The Rooftop of the Rosebank Mall hosts South Africa's best flea market on Sundays, with over 600 stalls selling traditional clothing, accessories, ceramics, gourmet food, art and craft objects, antiques and collectibles from all over Africa. The colorful bustling market is Africa in a nutshell, with a vibrant atmosphere and live music performances. You can see demonstrations by craftsmen from Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Congo, the Ivory Coast and other African countries, and pick up second-hand books and records, vintage clothes, beaded accessories, inscriptions, and ornaments as souvenirs from the flea market. The food stalls offer freshly prepared local delicacies as well as flavors from around the world. The Kids' Zone offers fun craft activities which will keep the little ones occupied as you go around browsing the various stalls. The Rooftop Market hosts a car boot sale on the last Sunday of every month. The Design District around the market has several cafes, bars and clubs such as Marble Restaurant, Molokai, Capital Cafe, The Bank, and Kong. The annual Joburg Gay Pride Parade passes along the adjoining Rosebank Street.
