The Dusseldorf Harbor is a fine example of urban redevelopment, with a great mix of old and new buildings with noteworthy architecture. The commercial harbor with its quay walls, cast-iron bollards, wrought-iron railings and rail tracks with cranes have been preserved, while the listed and protected warehouses have been renovated into modern workplaces. New buildings by renowned architects such as Frank O. Gehry, David Chipperfield, Joe Coenen, Steven Holl and Claude Vasconi have added a touch of Post-Modern style to the area. One of the highlights is Neuer Zollhof, an ensemble of 3 leaning buildings by Frank O Gehry.
