Nehru Planetarium is a premier centre for astronomy in India, with several programs for fostering the study and development of astronomical sciences. Designed by J.M. Kadri, the domed building is a landmark in Worli. It presents shows in English, Hindi and Marathi on the 'Biography of the Universe' daily, except Mondays. It also organizes several activities for students such as science quiz contests, Astro painting, and Astro poetry. The Science Odyssey show features projections on the domed ceiling, and there is a 3-D science show as well. There are also several galleries of science-related exhibits.
