The Churchill Museum is the world's first permanent museum dedicated to the life and wartime achievements of Sir Winston Churchill, 'the Greatest Briton'. Filled with Churchill memorabilia such as his Privy Council uniform, cigars and other personal effects, it showcases the highlights of his life in the form of video footage available from the time. A branch of the Imperial War Museum, it houses the underground corridors and Cabinet War Rooms (from which Churchill and the cabinet directed the war against Hitler and the Nazis) which have been preserved in the selfsame condition as they were 1945.
