Kensington Palace, London

Kensington Palace is a royal residence where the late Princess Diana stayed after her divorce, and still in use today by some members of the royal family.

Kensington Palace is a royal residence where the late Princess Diana stayed after her divorce, and still in use today by some members of the royal family. Much of it is however open to the public. Built in 1605, it was renovated in the 17th century by Sir Christopher Wren and then by William Kent in the 18th century. The King's Long Gallery here is a magnificent Regency period court drawing room displaying some impressive paintings including a one-of-a-kind Van Dyk. The Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection displays some of Princess Diana's frocks and is a highlight of the palace.
