Nestled in the midst of giant Yellowwood trees on the 253 hectare Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve, the Coedmore Castle is an elegant stone mansion that was built by Dering Stainbank in 1885. The homestead has been preserved in its original state, with intricate steel-pressed ceilings, beautiful carved paneling, and a circular iron staircase leading to the tower room above the battlements. It is furnished with period furniture, old portraits, and antique silverware. Several of the rooms contain sculptures by Mary Stainbank. The surrounding reserve is home to many species of antelope, zebra, monkeys, and birds.
