The recreational area has a boating lake, fountains, Orăşelul Copiilor – a children's area with rides and roller-coasters, a mini-train that goes around the grounds, and the Sala Polivalentă that hosts concerts and indoor sporting events. There are trails for walking, jogging, skateboarding, and bicycling, as well as facilities for go-karting, tennis, football, volleyball and basketball.
