The George Enescu Museum is dedicated to the life and work of renowned Romanian composer George Enescu. It is housed in the stately Cantacuzino Palace designed by John Berindey that is also noted for its French Baroque and Art Nouveau architectural elements. The Museum showcases his work and personal effects including the violin that Enescu received as a gift from an uncle at the age of 4 years, scores of his works, and awards conferred on him such as the French Legion of Honor.
