Place d'Albertas is a beautiful square surrounded by mansions of the d'Albertas with a fountain in the centre. The d'Albertas were an influential family in 18th century Aix, and commissioned the Vallons to design their houses around the square in Regency style, with wrought-iron balconies and elegant ornamentation. The cast-iron fountain in the centre was created by students of Arts et Metiers in 1912.
