The Corn Exchange, built in 1754 on the Place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville to designs by the Vallons, was once a granary but today houses the post office and public library. Its northern facade has an allegorical pediment sculpted by Jean-Pancrace Chastel depicting the Rhone and the Durance rivers as male and female. The southern façade on Place Richelme is decorated with motifs such as fruits, cereals and olives.
