The Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts is the oldest chartered military organization in North America, first chartered in 1638. Located in Faneuil Hall since 1746, it maintains maintains a military museum displaying uniforms, firearms, swords, portraits, historical paintings, badges, memorabilia and other relics from every war in which the Company has been involved. The adjacent Military Library contains the records of the Company and historical books related to the Company.
