The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland (RPSI) stores all the locomotives and carriages of its Northern Ireland collection at the Whitehead Excursion Station. The collection comprises historic steam and diesel locomotives and vintage carriages. The RPSI also runs steam train excursions over the present day Irish railway network from the Belfast Central station.
