The China Railway Museum presents the history and development of the railway system in China since 1876.
The China Railway Museum presents the history and development of the railway system in China since 1876. Housed in the former Zhengyangmen East Railway Station, it displays about 40 locomotives, including China's first steam engine locomotive and tracks, foreign locomotives used in old China, gas engine and electric engine locomotives manufactured since 1949, freight wagons, Zhou EnLai's steam locomotive, Mao Zedong's train, and train of General Zhu De. The museum also exhibits related artifacts such as D-train models, photos, train tickets from different times, miniature stations, and a full scale CRH-3 Bullet Train Simulator Cockpit.
