Built at the turn of the 20th century as the House of the Governor-General of Taiwan during the Japanese period, the Taipei Guest House is used for official receptions and celebrations. Designed by Dogo Fukuda and Ichiro Nomura, the French Second Empire style building has a Mansard roof and high Roman pillars, leading to opulent Baroque interiors.
