One of the highlights of the Dalongdong District, the Taipei Confucius Temple is modeled after the original Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong Province of China. It is the only Confucian temple in Taiwan to be adorned with southern Fujian-style ceramic adornments. The Minnan style temple was built by the famous Fujian craftsman Wang Yi-Shun in 1930 on the site of a previous Qing era temple. The main hall has a black plaque with gold inscription by Chiang Kai-shek that reads "Educate without Discrimination". On Confucius’ birthday (28th September), a traditional music and dance ceremony is conducted to pay tribute to Confucius. The 4D cinema screens free Confucius-themed shows.
