Sydney's Central Business District is the financial and economic centre of the city, as well as a major nightlife and entertainment district.

Sydney's Central Business District is the financial and economic centre of the city, as well as a major nightlife and entertainment district. It extends from Circular Quay in the north to Central railway station in the south, and the Royal Botanic Gardens and Hyde Park in the east to Darling Harbour in the west. The dynamic area has some of Australia's tallest skyscrapers such as the Governor Phillip Tower, MLC Centre and World Tower, Australia Square, and Centrepoint Tower, as well as beautiful heritage buildings such as the Queen Victoria Building and the Sydney Town Hall. The Central Business District and surrounding areas are home to several cultural institutions such as the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Museum of Sydney, Justice and Police Museum, State Library of New South Wales, Theatre Royal, City Recital Hall, Australian Museum, Art Gallery of New South Wales, and Powerhouse Museum.
