Located 60 kilometres to the west of Sydney, the Blue Mountains are a perfect weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Greater Blue Mountains Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its rich flora and fauna that cover the breathtaking landscapes. Enjoy the cool crisp mountain air scented with eucalyptus on one of the bush-walking trails or mountain biking paths that traverse the area, such as Narrow Neck, Giant Stairway, Anderson's Fire Trail, and the trail from Echo Point to The Three Sisters on the north escarpment of the Jamison Valley. Rock climbing is a popular activity on the Centennial Glen Cliffs, Mount Victoria, Mount Piddington, and Mount Boyce. Canyoning and Abseiling are other adventure activities offered in the area.

There are various attractions in the Blue Mountains for those looking for relaxation or entertainment. You can explore the limestone Jenolan Caves, enjoy the panoramic views at the Edge Cinema, take the Katoomba Scenic Railway which is the steepest funicular railway in the world, ride the Scenic Skyway and Zig Zag Railway, and visit the various museums such as the Norman Lindsay Gallery and Museum at Faulconbridge, Toy and Railway Museum at Leura, and Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum.
