Spanning Johnstons Bay between Pyrmont and Glebe Island, the Anzac Bridge is the longest cable-stayed bridge in Australia with a length of 805 metres. The 8-lane route connects the city with its western suburbs. Two 120 metre tall towers at either end support the 128 cables that support the bridge. A pedestrian and bicycle path runs along the northern side of the bridge, providing sweeping views over the harbor from the Old Glebe Island Bridge to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The western side of the bridge has 2 commemorative soldier statues – one of an Australian Digger, and the other a New Zealand soldier.
