Forgotten Songs is a public art installation above Sydney's Angel Place.
Forgotten Songs is a public art installation above Sydney's Angel Place. Created by Michael Thomas Hill in 2009, it comprises 120 empty bird cages accompanied by the sound recordings of extinct or threatened bird species of central Sydney which were forced out by the development of the concrete jungle. The name Forgotten Songs refers to the musical notes of these uprooted birds which left behind the empty cages.
